What is an autocycle?
Combining the features of a motorcycle and an automobile, a typical autocycle is a vehicle with three wheels (two wheels up front, and one in the rear). An autocycle has a steering wheel and pedals, offering aspects of a car-driving experience with elements of riding a motorcycle — such as agility and performance handling.
Do you need autocycle insurance?
Liability coverage is required in nearly every state before you can take your autocycle on the road. Comprehensive and collision coverage may be mandated by your lender if you lease or finance your autocycle. However, even if your autocycle is paid in full, safeguarding your asset against damage, loss, and theft can be a wise choice.
How much does autocycle insurance cost?
Progressive offers autocycle liability coverage for as low as $75/year.* Your autocycle insurance rate depends on several factors, including:

You can lower the cost of your autocycle policy with numerous motorcycle insurance discounts.
What does autocycle insurance cover?
An autocycle insurance policy can be built out beyond what's required, so you can experience personalized protection. Here are the mandatory coverages along with some popular additional options:
Liability
Bodily injury and property damage liability coverage are required in nearly every state and can pay for injuries or damages you cause to others while riding your autocycle.
Comprehensive
If your autocycle is stolen or damaged by vandalism, severe weather, fire, or a collision with an animal, comprehensive coverage may pay to repair or replace your vehicle, minus your deductible. Your lender may require comprehensive if you finance or lease your autocycle.
Collision
Collision coverage can pay to repair or replace your autocycle if you're in an accident with another motorist, regardless of fault. If you collide with an object, such as a tree, fence, or guardrail, collision coverage can also pay for damage to your vehicle. If you finance or lease your autocycle, your lender may require collision.
Total loss
Total loss coverage is optional and can cover the full retail value of your autocycle if it's totaled in a covered accident, minus your policy's deductible. Your autocycle must be less than one model year old to qualify. For example, if you bought your autocycle for $30,000 and it's only worth about $20,000 after depreciation, you may receive the full $30,000, minus your deductible, to buy a new one.
Roadside assistance and trip interruption
If your autocycle is disabled anywhere in the United States or Canada, optional roadside assistance coverage can tow your autocycle to the nearest repair shop at no cost to you. Trip interruption may also be added to pay for lodging, transportation, or meal expenses up to $500, if you break down away from home.

Tips for quoting autocycle insurance
- To get an accurate quote, you only need your autocycle's make and model; you need your autocycle's VIN to purchase a policy
- Comprehensive and collision coverage deductibles can be modified; a higher deductible will help lower your premium
